Gareth Henry is a businessman who has always cared about helping others to find success. He is an alumnus of Heriot-Watt University and decided to partner up with the university in order to offer a new scholarship opportunity. The scholarship will help undergraduates by offering them a one-on-one call with Henry every term during their schooling. He will also offer students career advice when they graduate and advice to help them get a job. As if that wasn’t enough, he will also provide them with coaching and mentoring on an ongoing basis, which will help these students with their careers to come.
Gareth Henry graduated from Heriot-Watt in 2001 and calls New York his home. He has been an investor in the city for many years and believes that the Actuarial Maths offering at the university is a good one. He has suggested that finance students would benefit from it greatly and has also spoken positively of the school’s quantitative modeling instruction. The university’s Actuarial Science course is one that gives graduate students a leg-up on other courses in mathematics. It also allows graduates who end up as actuaries in the United Kingdom to gain credit with the Society of Actuaries in North America.
Gareth Henry has praised the course as an international one that will help any student who is looking to work in the finance sector. Each qualified student to receive the scholarship must originate from the United Kingdom. It is also required that anyone who benefits from the scholarship must be enrolled in a Statistics course, Actuarial Mathematics course, and must be able to demonstrate their need for financial help.
Gareth Henry attended Heriot-Watt University, which has been in existence since 1821. The university continues to serve its students well as one of the nation’s top universities for industry and business. Heriot-Watt is known to produce graduates who find employment fairly easily and is also known for its role as a leader in research. The university has campuses in the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Orkney, Scottish Borders, and Putrajaya and educates students who become leaders in the science and business world.
